El Puerto de La Libertad is undoubtedly one of the most emblematic beaches of surfing throughout the country, as well as the most central tourist city on the coast of El Salvador. Its quick access to the capital city, that is why it becomes a strategic location of high tourist level. La Libertad has restaurants, banks, supermarkets, commercial establishments of all kinds, public and private transportation, as well as a wide range of renowned hotels and hostels.
A wave with a course of about a quarter of a kilometer, and sometimes more if it connects to the pier in certain swells, and with a varied repertoire in the way it breaks on the surface of the sea that borders this peculiar and emblematic rocky beach shore. on the other side of the pier we find a beachbreak of very good quality, and next to it a reef that houses a bodysurfing club in its peculiar left waves that lends itself to a first class diving and snorkeling.
