El Majahual, a Salvadoran paradise
El Majahual is one of the most recognized beaches in El Salvador. It is located in the department of La Libertad, just 34 km from San Salvador.
The beach is characterized by its turquoise waters, dark sands, and calm waves. It is an ideal place to enjoy a day of sun and beach, or for various water activities such as surfing, beach soccer, or volleyball.
The name of the beach comes from the Nahuatl language and means "water of the majagua". However, it is also believed that it could be due to its resemblance to Mahahual Beach, located in Mexico. Entrance to the beach is free and its waters are suitable for everyone. In the area, you will find a wide variety of dining and lodging options.

Climate
