School for the Deaf in El Salvador

Centro Escolar de Audición y Lenguaje de El Salvador (CEAL) is a school specialized in teaching deaf and hard of hearing children. CEAL offers a bilingual education in Spanish and English, and uses the Total Communication methodology. CEAL was founded in 1977 by a group of parents of deaf children, and today has more than 300 students in its facilities in San Salvador. The school also offers hearing and language services to children and adults throughout the country through its Community Care Program.

Complejo Educativo para Sordos "Licenciada Griselda Zeledón" is an educational institution specialized in teaching children from kindergarten to ninth grade.

The Centro Escolar para Sordos de Cojutepeque, El Salvador, was created in 1994 with the objective of providing education and services to deaf people in El Salvador. The center offers basic and middle school education, as well as vocational and job training programs. It also offers early intervention services, medical and psychological care, and support to the families of deaf people. The center has a library specializing in literature on deafness, and a museum on the history and culture of deaf people.

The Centro Escolar para Sordos en Santa Ana de El Salvador is an educational institution specialized in the care of deaf children and adolescents. It is a space of classrooms, workshops and laboratories where inclusive education is provided, that is, where deaf and hearing children are integrated, with the objective that everyone learns together. The Santa Ana School for the Deaf offers a quality education, adjusted to the needs of each student. It has a trained and specialized faculty in teaching deaf children, as well as a multidisciplinary work team that provides the necessary support to each of the students.
